The society acts as an axis for those involved in the façade industry to determine the credentials of members and as a surety for those seeking to employ them. Membership is open to all individuals who have an involvement in façade engineering.
Andy Dean, Head of WSP Façade Engineering in the Middle East, a Fellow of the SFE and ME committee member says, "The Society of Façade Engineers (SFE) is open to anyone with an interest in building façades. It is a society within the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and is headquartered in London in the UK, but it has a dedicated chapter in the Middle East. We regularly arrange technical and other events locally, which are extremely well-attended. Our local committee is made up of senior façade professionals, across a good variety of organisations.
